Before the details

The same agreement written two ways: once as a short orientation, once as the enforced document.

The short version is the one most readers want. The site is an independent editorial blog about Waffle House culture, its menu traditions, its overnight operations, and the communities and crews around it. You are welcome to read it, quote it, and send corrections through the contact page. You are not welcome to republish whole articles, strip the site for content, or use it in a way that harms other readers.

Below, the same position is set out in the full terms: what you may do, what belongs to whom, what happens when you send us something, and where our responsibility ends. Where the short version and the full sections disagree, the full sections decide.

The terms, clause by clause

Seven clauses · plain English first

01

Use of the site

You may read every article on quibla.delivery, share links to it, and quote short passages with a clear credit back to the site. What you may not do is republish a substantial portion of an article, whether an opening section, a full list, or a rewritten copy that keeps the shape of our reporting — those requests go through the contact page first.

The site is also not a tool for other purposes: scraping the pages wholesale, hammering the server, probing for security gaps, or posting anything through our forms that you know to be false all fall outside what you are permitted to do here. Where such use is detected, we may block access without notice.

02

Content and intellectual property

The text, photographs, layout, and design of this site are owned by Quibla Delivery or used with permission. That includes the way articles are edited, the running order of the sections, and the visual treatment — all of it belongs to the site, or to the photographers and writers who granted us permission to publish.

Brand names, restaurant names, and other references to businesses appear only for editorial purposes. They remain the property of their respective owners, and their appearance on the site does not suggest an endorsement, sponsorship, partnership, or affiliation of any kind. If you own a mark that appears here and would like it discussed differently, write to us at info@quibla.delivery.

03

User submissions

If you send us a story tip, a correction, a photograph, or any other message, you are confirming two things: that the information is accurate to the best of your knowledge, and that you have the right to share it with us. If you are passing along something you heard secondhand, say so — it changes how carefully we will check it.

By sending a submission, you grant Quibla Delivery permission to use it for editorial purposes: to quote it, to verify it, to follow up on it, and to publish it in part or in whole, with or without further attribution depending on what we agreed with you. You keep your own rights in the material; you are simply giving us the right to use it as part of our editorial work.

We are under no obligation to publish anything we receive, and we will not treat a submission as confidential unless we have agreed in writing to do so first.

04

No professional advice

Everything published on this site is general information and editorial coverage. It is not legal, financial, medical, or safety advice, and it should not be relied upon during an emergency — for instructions in an emergency, follow the guidance of local authorities or the emergency services on the ground.

That applies even where we write about staffing, scheduling, working conditions, or storm response. We describe what we were told and what we were able to check; we are not your employer, your representative, your insurer, or your attorney. If you are making a decision that matters to your health, your money, or your work, make it on the basis of advice from a qualified professional in your own situation.

06

Limitation of liability

The site is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We work to keep it accurate and online, but we do not promise that any page will be free of errors, uninterrupted, or current at the moment you read it.

To the extent permitted by law, Quibla Delivery is not liable for any damages arising from your use of the site or from reliance on anything published here — including indirect, incidental, or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

07

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time — because the site changes, because a policy needs to be sharper, or because the law around it moves. When we do, we change the effective date at the top of this page so you can see at a glance which version you are reading.

Continued use of quibla.delivery after changes are posted counts as acceptance of the updated terms. If you do not agree with the change, the remedy is straightforward: stop using the site.

Questions readers actually send

Short answers to the things people ask when they want to reuse an article, share a tip, or check whether what we publish counts as advice.

Ask something else
Can I quote a passage from an article on my own site?

Yes, for personal, non-commercial use — short passages with a clear credit and a link back to quibla.delivery are fine. What needs permission first is republishing a substantial portion of an article, or lifting a whole list or the shape of our reporting and rewording it as your own.

If I send a story tip, do I lose control of it?

No. You keep your own rights in the material. You are giving us permission to use it for editorial purposes — to verify it, follow up, and publish it in part or in whole. If you would rather we not treat something as publishable, say so in the message before you send it; that is much easier than unwinding afterward.

Do your articles about storm response count as safety advice?

They do not. We cover how diners and crews have handled storms and what people told us afterward, for general information. During an actual emergency, follow instructions from local authorities and the services working in your area — not a blog.

How do I tell you a fact in an article has changed?

Send a correction through the contact page with the article title and the specific line you are questioning. If you can point us to a document, a filing, or a person we should speak to, that speeds it up considerably. Corrections that hold up get the article updated and a note added.

What changes if these terms are updated?

The effective date at the top of this page changes, and the updated text replaces what you are reading now. Continuing to use quibla.delivery after that counts as accepting the new version. If you want to see what changed, our contact page is the fastest way to ask.
